HONESTY - A Prerequisite

"Honesty - the first chapter in the book of wisdom."
- Thomas Jefferson

Honesty is a virtue fast becoming rare. People rather hear and praise flowery words of "wisdom" and beat around the bush than do some hard honest inquiry about things because to be honest requires a great deal of courage and at times requires one to swallow the bitter pill if need be.

But in the end honesty has its own reward - Truth.

An honest man has allegiance towards nothing save the truth and he gets there by testing things for the truth within them.

Truth holds the capacity to withstand any kind of bullshit thrown towards it, any kind of test, and will continue to shine even if the sun dies down.

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

Test anything and everything, any assumption, any belief, any statement with BRUTAL HONESTY to arrive at the truth.

This blog along with those enlisted in the blogroll is dedicated to serve truth, honesty and courage.

Swimming and getting wet goes hand in hand, and so does truth and honesty.

Plunge in with HONESTY as your sword and COURAGE as your armour - win the GLORY of getting to know the TRUTH.
